BUTE Loudness Analyser 2 is a smart, accurate and responsive loudness measurement plugin designed to be a useful tool for mixing and mastering.

What is the function of BUTE?

For quality assurance, many producers now mix and master within loudness specifications set in-house or by major streaming and broadcasting platforms. BUTE Loudness Analyzer 2 provides accurate loudness measurement data in BUTE's beautiful graphical user interface, highlighting areas that do not comply with preset or user-entered specifications. This allows you to optimize the quality of your mixes and masters while avoiding distortion downstream.

A smart, synchronized workflow for broadcasts, posts, and games

Loudness metering tools are ideal for balancing music, dialogue and sound effects. This is true for stereo as well as Atmos 7.1.2 surround. Long-form content can be handled more easily with the smart history overview. Get an overview of up to 10 hours of content and easily navigate to any section of the track. BUTE's custom alert system clearly points out any deviations from user-specified ranges or true peak overshoots. Includes a wealth of industry standard presets.

Mixing and mastering with BUTE

BUTE plug-ins are compatible with VST, AU, and AAX (including Audio Suite), so they blend in with most DAWs. BUTE's smart auto-remeasurement feature provides instant feedback on the loudness impact of mix changes, so you don't have to remeasure the entire mix. Absolute/Relative Scale, True Peak/LUFS, and Max/Live modes can be easily switched on the main display.

Smart and compact reading view

If you have limited screen size or CPU, a compact reading screen can help optimize things. BUTE can be resized and scaled. Even in compact view, you can easily switch between display settings and read out up to 7.1.2 Atmos channel configurations while saving screen real estate for other programs.
